This Privacy Policy describes how Bytes Arena ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the AI Girlfriend and Boyfriend mobile app (the "App"). By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
1. Information we collect
Photos / Media: When you choose or upload a photo from your device gallery for processing, the App accesses that image. The image may be processed locally on the device or uploaded to a server for AI processing depending on the App settings. The App only processes images you explicitly select.
Device information: Model, operating system version, app version, and basic technical data needed to operate and troubleshoot the App.
Usage analytics: Basic analytics events (e.g., feature usage, crashes) to improve the App. We use Firebase Analytics for these purposes.
Payment information: If you purchase premium features, payment processing is handled by Google Play Billing. We do not directly store full payment card numbers — billing and payment information is handled by the payment provider.
Account Information (Google Sign-In): If you log in using Google Authentication, we collect your name and email address from your Google account. This information is used only to identify your account within the app and provide personalized access. We do not share this information with third parties.
2. How we use information
To provide and operate the App features (including photo processing and generation of companion images).
To improve the App and fix bugs through analytics and crash reporting.
To process purchases and manage subscriptions via Google Play Billing.
To respond to user support requests and inquiries.
3. Third-party services
We use the following third-party services which may collect and process certain information as described in their own privacy policies:
Google Play Billing — used to process in-app purchases and subscriptions.
Firebase Analytics — used for app usage analytics and crash reporting.

4. Photo processing & storage
The App requires access to photos you select in order to detect people and generate an additional person beside the subject. Photos you choose are processed only when you request the feature. Depending on your app settings, photos may be processed locally on your device or temporarily uploaded to our servers for AI processing. If photos are uploaded, we retain them only as long as needed to complete the processing and to allow you to download the result, unless you explicitly save or share generated images.
5. Sharing and disclosures
We do not sell personal information. We may share information with service providers who perform services on our behalf (for example: analytics or payment processing). We may disclose information when required by law, to comply with legal processes, or to protect the rights and safety of Bytes Arena or others.
6. Data retention
We retain data only for as long as necessary to provide the App and for legitimate business purposes (including backup, analytics, and fraud prevention). If you would like data deleted, please contact us (see the Contact section below).
7. Security
We implement reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect personal data. However, no method of transmission or storage over the internet or on a device is completely secure — we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Children
The App is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected personal data from a child under 13, please contact us and we will take steps to delete the information.
9. Your choices and rights
Access & correction: You can request access to or correction of personal information we hold about you by contacting us.
Delete: You may request deletion of your personal data. Deletion requests may affect your ability to use certain App features.
Opt-out of analytics: You can opt out of analytics collection in the App settings where provided or by following the opt-out instructions provided by Firebase.
Payments: Billing/subscription cancellations and refund requests are handled through Google Play; please see Google Play’s support pages for these procedures.
10. International transfers
The App is available globally. If personal data is transferred to or processed in a country other than your own, we will take reasonable steps to ensure it remains protected consistent with this Privacy Policy.
11. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will post the updated policy here and update the "Effective date" above.
